Is Moving Fascia Foundations for you?

Moving Fascia® students often include Pilates and yoga teachers. ABOUT ANA

EME Principal Educator

Ana Barretxeguren

Ana Barretxeguren developed Moving Fascia® embodied anatomy courses through self-enquiry, her passion for anatomy and her extensive work helping people recover from injury. Her work is informed by anatomical research, her extensive career as a Pilates teacher, myofascial release and visceral manipulation therapist. Ana studied Visceral Manipulation with the Barral Institute and researches anatomy through human dissection. She has over 500 hours of dissection lab research and is currently studying a Postgraduate Diploma in Anatomical Sciences at the University of Edinburgh. Ana mentored for Polestar Pilates before founding Evolve Movement Education in 2013. She is the owner of Brighton Pilates Studio. Ana's understanding and appreciation of movement has been shaped by her experience of living with Catamenial Pneumothorax, a rare condition where a woman suffers repeated lung collapses during menstruation.

We cultivate online the level of contact and connection you would experience in our face to face courses. At your own pace and in your own space.

    Engaging videos exploring the theory of fascia in an interactive way, with the use of props, diagrams, drawings and examples.

    About 25% of the course is based on movement and self-release techniques ready for you to use on the mat, in your studio or clinic.

    Quizzes at the end of each segment will help you cement your learning, and a completion certificate will be issued on success of the final exam.

    We use zoom and the course platform to support your learning. Supportive Q&A sessions with Ana and the opportunity chat to other within the course community.

  • Revisit the material

    Material is issued weekly for the first four weeks. Revisit the videos and presentations as many times as you like. Get to keep the material for a year after enrolment.

  • When does enrolment close?

    Make sure to book quick! Enrolment closes at midnight on Sunday 3rd November!

  • Why is enrolment closing?

    Having a fixed enrolment period allows us to provide a learning environment that offers a lot more structured support for our students. Everyone starts at the same time and is more or less progressing through the content at a similar pace. We can match the content of our Facebook group to the weekly release of the modules and hold regular relevant Q&As and support sessions. It’s really important for us to maintain a similar level of connection and learning support on our online platform, to the contact we provide in our face to face courses.

  • Will the online course be released again at a different time?

    It is our aim to release the course again at some point make sure you sign up to our mailing list to be receive updates about when the course will be released again.

  • Who is Moving Fascia Foundations for?

  • Do I need to be a qualified teacher to join the online course?

    It’s a pre-requisite that you you have a basic level of anatomy before joining this course. We require that you are a movement teacher, a bodyworker or manual therapist in order to join this course, which you will declare on enrolment.

  • I prefer face to face courses, how else can I access Moving Fascia®?

    We have a one day workshop Moving Fascia Foundations course - our next date is Saturday 16th November 9am-5pm at Moss Pilates in Hackney, London.   • How long do I have access to the course for?

    The content of the course is delivered in weekly modules over the first month but all material will be available for you to access for 1 year.

  • Do I get a certificate upon completion?

    Upon successful completion of an optional final exam you will be issued with a Moving Fascia® Foundations completion certificate.
