Hello, I am Ana Barretxeguren, I am the creator of Moving Fascia®, a somatic movement method that has helped hundreds restore ease, minimise pain, and enhance fluid movement and breath.
I am a movement educator and myofascial release practitioner fascinated by the transformative quality of a somatic approach and its positive impact on health. My own experience of living with catamenial pneumothorax, a rare condition of repetitive lung collapses, has led me to a continuous investigation of fascia, focusing on the visceral space and its connections to breath and movement.
“The study of embryonic origins and the cellular world of fascia can have a huge impact and relevance on how we explore the body in movement”
Ana's knowledge and enthusiasm and commitment shine through; the huge amount of effort invested by the the EME team to give a high quality personal experience to students is really evident.
A comment on all the work and thought you have put into the manual - it’s amazing and I realise how invaluable it will be as I go over the techniques to really learn them - thank you!"
Everything has been a new experience for me which is great. I loved all of the sequences we've done today, I loved the scapula work, that was amazing. The feedback I was getting was just incredible and I feel great!
I am in awe of your set up, it's amazing. All the different angles available, that was really beneficial to be able to see so clearly exactly where the ball was - on your foot, on the scapula - that was really advantageous.
Informative; thought-provoking; absorbing; beneficial on a personal mind-body level but also providing a wealth of ideas which will inform my teaching.
It’s exciting! It has taken me to the next level in my personal development and now I can offer it to my clients. I see it as the jumping board of a lifelong exploration of fascia.
The Moving Fascia method can be integrated into all movement disciplines.
This course is for movement teachers (Pilates, yoga, Feldenkrais, personal training and other modalities) as well as manual therapists (massage, osteopathy, physiotherapy...)

What is a hybrid format?
Our hybrid format means that the training is delivered in more than one way, taking place in person and online. There are four in person training dates (split across two weekends), two follow up sessions live on Zoom and a comprehensive online platform with on demand content so you can revisit all the material online again at your own pace.
What are the dates for the live training?
Our live training dates for the 2023 will be announced shortly.
What do I need for the movement sessions?
You will need a soft roller and a massage ball for the experiential movement sessions. It’s preferable that you have a soft roller but any will do, a harder roller can be softened with blankets. That goes for the massage ball too, the softer the better but a variety will still work.
We can make other suggestions for alternatives you can suggest for your clients to use, however we require you have this ready before the couse starts.
Will I receive a manual?
A downloadable PDF manual with all movements and self release techniques will be available on the platform.
Is the course interactive?
It's so important to us to provide a supportive and interactive experience for those enrolled this training.
Ana guides you through live zoom sessions where there will be an opportunity to engage in Q&A to progress your understanding through experience.
The Moving Fascia teacher training online platform holds all recordings as well as our Moving Fascia® teacher training manual.
Our private community forum supports your interaction with Ana and other participants to ask any questions that arise, follow further discussion and stay connected with like minded professionals.
How much of the course is movement based?
In order to enrich your understanding through your own felt sense and experience most of this course is movement based. You will be deepening the embodiment of the repertoire through guided practice and excercise discussion as well as practicing teaching others.
How much of the course is movement and self-release?
This course is based around the first two principles of the Moving Fascia® method: SOFTEN/EXPAND. This repertoire is based on self release techniques that lead to self regulation and the gentle fascia focused movements that improve mobility and elasticity. Learn more about the Moving Fascia Principles on our YouTube channel.
Do I need to be a qualified movement practitioner to join the course?
It’s a pre-requisite that you are either a movement teacher or manual therapist and have a minimum basic level of anatomy before joining this course.
How long do I have access to the course for?
You will have your own private access to our online platform with all recordings and resources as well as access to the community forum. You will then have unlimited access to all material for 1 year.
Will I get a certificate?
After successful completion of the final assessment you will receive a certificate as a certified Moving Fascia® level 1 teacher.
